Glamour Shots

I was helping Anneli get ready for the day and amazed at how big she is getting.
She's getting to be such a girl and growing out of her babiness too fast.We have a lot of fun though!

Anneli took this picture. Hunter has been handing her the camera and she really enjoys taking pictures.

A Day At The Zoo

Last weekend I was needing an outing so we looked around a bit to see what would be family friendly that we all would enjoy and Hunter had the briliant idea of going to the zoo. When we arrived there was a large pond with ducks and geese. A boy handed Anneli some bread, she was a little timid of the geese which were right at her eye level. When we got to the zoo gate I handed them my debit card and when he gave me the receipt I was very plesently shocked that it was only $7 for our whole family! The receipt said winter rates on it so whoohoo for winter rates!

Bath Time!

These girls love their bath time!

Look at all those rolls!

Anneli enjoys giving Baby Iya a bath as well.

Autumn

It has been a beautiful Fall here in Grand Rapids. We have had warm sunny days for over a week and we have been enjoying every bit of it.
Amelia is changing every day. I can't believe how big she is allready. She's not a newborn anymore. Today when we were outside she was grabbing leaves and holding them up to her face. She'll be 3 months in two days!

Anneli was trying to keep a wiggly baby in her lap. She kept on trying to pull her towards her by grabbing her head instead of holding her under her arms.Well she's learning.

Building a new home

Little by little we are all realizing we are home in our new little place. I was very thankful the other day when we came back from exploring our new territory and Anneli says "home". She often will see something that reminds her of our house in Scappoose and will point to it and say "home" as if saying that belongs at our old house.

It actually is a lovely place to live. Our neighborhood is beautiful with its trees turning all different shades of red and yellow. Many of the houses are very old some of which were built before 1910. A block away is a park with swings and several slides. Further down the same street you will find a cute part of town with a few cafe's and shops to brouse around in, all within walking distance of our house. We have a big fenced in back yard which even comes with a little dog that lives downstairs.

Hunter is working more. He has an office that he goes to everyday and has been working on a few shoots and has many more projects lined up for the upcoming months. He is working with a friend who is also letting us stay in the upstairs of his house that is converted into an apartment. The apartment is lovely. It has harwood floors and many windows which make it bright and cheerful throughout the day.

updates!

Well it's a new start for our family.
New house. New neighborhood. New state!
We're doing pretty well. It is definately an adjustment. I am realizing how little I know about life. My parents were always there to lend a hand. I am truely grateful for both of them. But that is also one of the reasons I was ready to move. Hunter and I both need to experience life the way its thrown at us. With all of its challenges, trial, and adventures. God has given me the attitude of this being a great adventure to experience new things and to overcome new trials. And I have to say that I'm excited. Don't get me wrong, I will miss many people from back home. But I am blessed to have a husband and two daughters to grow even closer to.
